Trialtrap is a remote MCP server: there is nothing to download and no developer account. Claude and Cursor open with Trialtrap filled in. ChatGPT and Codex use the same address, typed in by hand.

ChatGPTDeveloper mode, then paste the address

ChatGPT and Codex share one plugin list. Add Trialtrap here and it is there for Codex as well. There is no one-click link.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open Plugins and press the plus button.
  3. Name it Trialtrap. Paste the address below as the MCP server URL, then create it.
  4. Sign in with your email when asked. The link lasts 10 minutes. Check spam if it does not arrive.
  5. Open the plugin in your list and press plus to install it. In a Work chat, type @ and choose Trialtrap.

CodexTwo commands in the terminal

Added it in ChatGPT already? It is in Codex too. If you only use Codex in the terminal, run these two commands instead. The second one opens the same email sign-in.

Then ask

Every assistant asks you to sign in with your email once. The link lasts 10 minutes. Check spam if it does not arrive. Then ask one of these:

  • Find the subscriptions in my email.
  • I started a Figma trial today. It charges on the 17th. Remind me before.
  • Which of my subscriptions should I cancel?
  • I pay Spotify €11.99 a month. How does that compare with the usual price, and is there a free version?

The email question needs the mailbox connected in your assistant. Trialtrap only sees the billing details that assistant extracts, such as the sender's domain, the subject line, the amount, and the date.

Finding the list is free, and so are three watches. For more, and for the review of what to keep, it is €32 a year or €4 a month, paid inside the conversation.

Add it to your Monday routine

New trials arrive by email every week. Make a scheduled task in Claude, or a task in ChatGPT, that repeats every Monday morning with this prompt:

  • Run my Trialtrap weekly check-in. Show me any new trial, renewal, or price change, and the charges coming up this week.

The check-in searches the last seven days of your mail through the assistant. Nothing is watched until you confirm the date, so reply to the task when it shows you something.
